I have waited for the day
When someone would come and stay
To come into my heart
And never would part
Friends from the start
Friends in our Hearts
You were there to wipe my tears
You were there to sooth my fears
You have seen my highs and lows
How you stood it, only God knows
You were sent into my life
To help me through my pain and strife
More than a friend you are to me
And friends we will always be
I know one day God will take me away
But I hope in your heart I will always stay
I will keep you safe and sound
Even though I won't be around
When a rainbow you can see
Know I am in Heaven thinking of thee
For friends are never apart
Because they hold each other in their hearts
